Nearby the Andean Mountains there is esmeralda color lagoon, located inside a volcano crater with a height of 3800m named Quilotoa. The drive passes through Zumbahua canyon and tons of indigenous towns & farmlands. We will have a visit to either Saquisilí (Thursdays), Zumbahua (Saturdays) or Pujilí (Sundays) indigenous market. Before lunch we will visit Shalala, a well-known community thanks to their handicrafts. This tour includes a native Quilotoa guide.

Weather on Quilotoa is very unpredictable so we recommend being prepared with warm & waterproof clothing. Please be acclimatized around 3000m before taking this tour.

ITINERARY:

Pick up at 07:00 am Magic Bean (Juan Leon Mera y Mariscal Foch or San Blas square 7:20am)
Leave towards Saquisili / Pujili / Zimbahua Indian markets (it depends on the day)
Depart to an indigenous hut followed by depart to Quilotoa Lagoon
Arrive to Quilotoa followed by trek around the crater
Lunch
